Arranged by the Viennese Ice Skating Association and located in close proximity to the city center, Wiener Eislaufverein open ice skating is an extremely popular Viennese winter tradition. And this tradition is going to be around for a long time to come. The Association has a rental agreement that runs until 2058!
Wiener Eislauf Verein is located close to the city center, between the Konzerthaus (Concert Hall) on one side and the magnificent Intercontinental Hotel Stadtpark on the opposite side.
The attractive rink resembles a two-storey building covered in advertising. The Association has major plans to significantly develop the rink and its surrounding areas in the near future.
Wiener Eislauf Verein welcomes over 250,000 visitors to the 6,000 square meters of ice. The most popular season is between late October and early March, with the rink open from early morning until late in the evening.
The entrance fee is usually around €7-8 for adults, and less for children. Visitors can rent skates or bring their own.
