Palace of Justice

Where Austria’s Legal System Comes to Life

Interested in law and the legal system in Vienna? The Palace of Justice, or Justizpalast, is the place for you! This tall building in the heart of Vienna is interesting to look at, both inside and outside.

The Neo-Renaissance facade is impressively decorated with two lion statues at the entrance and an elegant pillar. The interior is even more impressive, with its melting staircase, statue of Lady Justice, wall decorations, and beautiful light shining from the glass ceiling.

Palace of Justice Vienna

The Palace houses the Supreme Court, carries out all civil matters, has the procurator general’s office, and houses the higher regional court of appeal.

For those who want to learn all about the Palace of Justice, there are guided tours on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

After learning all about the Palace, take a journey to the 5th floor for their lovely cafe. Enjoy lunch, coffee, and one of the best views of Vienna from the incredible balcony.
