You won't want to miss a trip to the Schonbrunn Palace Theatre (the Schlosstheater Schönbrunn), one of the nicest baroque theater premises in the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Built in 1745, it is one of Europe's first theaters. The theater once served as the Hapsburgs home theatre, with performances from Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The theater has a long and interesting history, replete with changing ownership and financial crises; however, it has been connected to the University for quite some time and is home to numerous impressive student performances of both opera and drama classes.
