Beauty and nature collide in a wondrous experience. Welcome to the Palm House in Burggarten, one of the most beautiful art nouveau structures of its kind. This amazing place has been a part of the Imperial Palace. The building is incredible. It is more than 3,000 square feet and towers above the garden of the Imperial Palace. Watch in awe as hundreds of free-flying tropical butterflies gently flutter around in a brilliant re-creation of their natural habitat.
The structure is utterly picturesque, with a waterfall, a small pond, and multiple bridges to delight all onlookers and create spectacular photo opportunities. The Palm House is also a great learning experience. You can find informative charts with details about butterflies and their lifecycle. Visit the "pupa box" to witness how larvae turn into butterflies. And don't miss out on the glorious Atlas butterfly, with its gorgeous pattern and enormous wingspan.
