Come see the memorable Klimt Villa, which Gustav Klimt used as a studio from 1911 until his death in 1918. It has since been revitalized and re-opened to the public.
Klimt used the garden house as his workshop during his final creative period. The environment has been reconstructed using vivid descriptions and illustrations in order to foster a truly authentic atmosphere, a demonstration of his living and work environment.
The reconstruction is done using photographs by Moritz Nähr and original items. The main workroom and other rooms of the studio provide insights into many details vital to Klimt's works from this creative period.
