Vienna Ice World
An Unimaginably Gorgeous Winter Wonderland
There is no more fun and joyous of a time to visit Vienna's City Hall than in the heart of winter. From January to March, the Vienna Rathausplatz is transformed into an enormous ice rink, an absolute pleasure for skaters of all ages.
City Hall is lit up in the most gorgeous way imaginable, and serves as the perfect backdrop for Vienna Ice World (Wiener Eistraum). Everyday from 10AM to 10PM, skaters of all ages, families, and athletes will descend on this 8,000m² beautiful phenomenon for the time of their lives. With utter joy and excitement, everyone will skate and swirl with glee to delightful popular music. There's also a smaller rink (3,000 m²) open from November 17th until January 14th.
One incredible feature is the ice paths. Breeze your way through these magically lit paths and their countless routes. And don't forget to check out the practice area, where younger skaters can hone their skills from 10AM-4PM Monday-Friday. At 5PM, it becomes a place for curlers to practice their skills.
The experience is extremely convenient and enjoyable, with thousands of pre-heated rental ice skates and plenty of locker space. And, of course, food booths and warm beverages are widely available.
