One of Vienna's most photographed artifacts is in Stadtpark (City Park): Edmund Hellmer’s guilded-bronze and marble "Golden Strauss" monument, the Johann Strauss Monument.

The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra played at the public opening in 1921, giving special attention to Johann Strauss' waltz, The Blue Danube. Because of the statue's bright coloring, each season brings a unique viewing experience.
