Leopold Museum

There are endless beauties to witness, from art nouveau to classics from the Expressionist period. The Leopold Museum houses the largest and most important works of Egon Schiele as well as treasures from the brilliant Gustav Klimt. There are also exhibits from the Vienna Workshop showcasing unique artwork of international design history.

The Egon Schiele exhibit is such an incredible highlight! With 42 paintings, 187 original graphics, and endless manuscripts, the Leopold Museum truly comes to life. Come see the "Self-portrait with Physalis" and the "Portrait of Wally Neuzil", among other masterpieces collected by Rudolf Leopold, so you can experience such artistry up close and personal. The architecture of the museum is very impressive and noticeable, presented as a light-flooded cube of white shell limestone. The stunning building has panoramic windows with a breathtaking view of Vienna's city center, including the Maria Theresien-Platz and the Hofburg Imperial Palace.
