The Green Prater, considered by many as one of the best city parks in the world, is enormous, approximately six million square meters. The nature is thriving, with vast lawns, woods, and water areas. It's perfect for relaxing strolls, brisk hikes, extended jogging tours, bicycle and skating trips, and much more.

The main part of the Green Prater is the 4.5 kilometer-long Hauptallee. This broad path is lined by thousands of trees and runs between Praterstern and Lusthaus. This area is beloved by runners, and is marked with checkpoints from the Vienna City Marathon. Others who frequent and love the path are inline skaters, walkers, bicyclists, and the occasional Fiaker (Viennese horse-drawn carriage).
Visitors can rent a bicycle or even a “Pedi cab” (a bicycle rickshaw), or they can use the “Liliputbahn” miniature railroad, all to get different lovely and amazing views of the Prater. Don't forget to check out the public swimming pool Stadionbad, a great way to relax in the summer heat.
And just a hop away from the Green Prater, you will find gorgeous meadows, woods and former Danube channels. You can experience these enchanting pieces of nature on amazing hiking paths, and you can also go for boat rides on the Heustadlwasser to explore the area in yet another incredible way.
