UN Tour Vienna

Where Global Peace and Sustainable Development Happen

The UN has four headquarters. Vienna is blessed to be home to one of them, alongside New York, Geneva and Nairobi. While in Vienna, it's quite a meaningful experience to take an informative tour through the Vienna International Centre (VIC), also known as 'UNO City', for a unique and enlightening opportunity to experience the United Nations.

The Vienna International Centre was constructed in 1979 and planned by Johann Staber. The structure provides a unique perspective on the work of the different UN organizations. Take a fantastic tour to learn all about how more than 190 nations work together in a tireless effort to promote global peace and sustainable development, and how they fight daily for human rights all across the world. Come check out the many permanent and temporary exhibits and works of art, including an original Hundertwasser tapestry and a moon rock donated by NASA. Tours of the center last around 60 minutes and they are offered in both English and German. Make sure and book tickets for UN Tour Vienna in advance.

What are some amazing things you can learn while touring the facilities? You can learn about the many actions the UN is taking to make the world a better place. You will learn all about how Vienna was chosen to be one of the four UN headquarter homes.  And you will walk away with a great deal of knowledge about how engaged citizens like yourself can work hard to accomplish the Sustainable Development Goals.

Be careful to make sure you have with you valid photo identification before you arrive.
