The Legendary Classical Composer Celebrated with Incredible Detail

Located in Karlsplatz's Ressel Park is sculptor Rudolf Weyr's 1908 white marble monument to Johannes Brahms (Brahms Monument Vienna) and his legacy in classical music. It's a simple but evocative statue: Brahms, elevated, sits in contemplation as the Muse of Music plays her lyre at the base of the structure. It can take hours to truly see the Muse's figure.
